#1 Declutter

"Make sure to declutter first, the most important part of an organised kitchen is to only keep what you need or use! From cookware to spices - go through it all. Ask yourself how many cups/ glasses, pots & pans you really need? Be sure to get rid of anything that’s out of date! If it’s a food item you have brought but haven’t used and is still in date, consider your local food bank. Other kitchen items can be donated or sold on local sites such as FB marketplace."

#2 Re-Arrange

"Ensure to store things where they make the most sense, for example, baking trays & dishes near the oven, tableware near to where you serve your food, store your large cooking utensils in a holder, and smaller items in a utensil tray inside a drawer to stop this becoming overcrowded.  Spice racks can be fitted onto a wall or inside a cupboard door!"

#3 Categorise

"Categorise your items & store them together, for example baking items all in one cupboard or drawer, tinned goods & dried foods together, breakfast cereals spreads, snacks in one area, spices & oils in another, tea & coffee items all in one place."

#4 Storage

"Storing items such as flour, pasta, rice & dried goods are fab in clear containers. Not only do they look really neat & tidy, but you can also see exactly what you have & what you need to replace. A top tip is to cut off the cooking instructions if needed and stick them to the bottom of the back of the container. Spices also look fantastic stored in this way & ensures a tidy space! Stackable storage drawers are a fab option not only for your cupboard spaces but also for your fridge."

#5 Worktops

"If you tend to keep a lot of items on your worktops, think about what needs to be there. You want to avoid cluttering the space here, consider baskets to group items together for a neat & tidy finish, they make such a difference & can really soften a space."

#6 Extra Space

"Should you feel that you need extra space you can also consider a portable mini-island, these are such a good idea as you can move them around your kitchen to suit you! It can help to stop your worktops feeling & looking too cluttered."
