The knowledge and the knowhow all in one place. The VonHaus in-house design team knows everything there is to know about the growing and emerging trends in interior design. And not only that, with the help of a few VonHaus power tools, we can show you how easy it is to invite them into your home!

PALLET WALLS

Pallet walls not only transform the look and feel of any space, they also make clever use of otherwise discarded material. In case you have no idea what a pallet wall is, yes, it’s exactly as you suspected –wood panelling made from deconstructed pallets. Adding this trend to your space will make it look and feel much cosier – and that’s not even the best bit – with the right tools, they’re super easy to install!

What you’ll need:

Wooden pallets
Reciprocating saw
Tape measure
Orbital sander
Drill
Electric brad nailer
Nails

SPICY MUSTARD

According to research carried out by Pinterest, Pantone 14-0952 is the colour to be introducing into your home in 2019. And whether you’re ready to fully embrace it with a feature wall, or simply want to introduce accent pieces, VonHaus can help. As @home.of.four is showing us all, the VonHaus Capri furniture range in a pale oak-effect colour is the perfect accompaniment to a statement mustard chair or throw. And if you’re feeling a little braver than that, add a splash of colour to your walls to really make an impact.

What you’ll need:

Paint sprayer
Paint
Capri slim sideboard
Electric screwdriver (for assembling the sideboard)

PAINTED HARDWOOD FLOOR

One of the most impressive ways of adding instant character to any room is a painted hardwood floor. With a lick of paint you can change the entire feel of a room without the need to remodel or buy new furniture. If you’re going to use a bold colour, we recommend only painting a small section, or if you’re using paler colours or creating a pattern, you might want to think about giving it an antique effect with a bleached or distressed finish.

What you’ll need:

Paint sprayer
Paint
Sander

VERTICAL GARDENS

Vertical gardens or green walls are growing in popularity, especially in urban homes where space is at a premium. In addition to looking incredible, a vertical garden acts as an impressive sound barrier, cleans indoor air and outdoor pollutants. Bringing your home to life has never been more literal. Find inspiration for your own creation in these gorgeous designs.

What you’ll need:

Pallet sections
Electric screwdriver
Screws
Spirit level
Waterproof Membrane
Staple gun
Wooden planters
Plants
