#1 Smoothie Maker

Smoothies are the easiest thing in the world for kick-starting your fruit and veg intake. Ideal for pre-workout fuel, or as a replacement for your mid-afternoon coffee, the opportunities are endless. Toss in any fruits you have lying around, along with some seeds, and either a juice or some milk, and whizz it up for a healthy boost.

Any fruits will do the trick, but a pro-tip for a little extra benefit: ingredients like spinach, ginger, kale and cucumber will barely effect the taste, but all have incredible health benefits for your skin and immune system.

Here’s one of our favourite smoothie recipes, perfect to get you going in the morning.

Morning Energy Smoothie

  • 1 banana
  • A handful of strawberries
  • 2 Cups of orange juice

#2 Yoghurt Maker

Why not switch up your breakfast for the new year? Or made a healthy swap for dessert, trading ice cream for homemade natural yoghurt. Made without any preservatives, colourings or unnecessary sugar in artificial flavours, making your own yoghurt gives you full control. Perfect for delicious breakfast parfaits, to be swirled into curries, or even to be frozen into yoghurt ice lollies, our digital yoghurt maker makes it easy and cuts down on waste and packaging.

And you can create your own flavours simply by adding in some ingredients. Try out our chocolate orange homemade natural yoghurt parfait.

Chocolate Orange Parfait

  • Natural Yoghurt or Yoghurt Culture
  • Whole Milk
  • Sweetener (We use honey)
  • Marmalade
  • Dark chocolate
  • Granola or nuts to top
  1. Pour your milk into a pan and heat it until it begins to foam along the edges. But DON’T let it boil!
  2. Let the milk cool – To speed this up you could place a container of the milk into a bowl of ice.
  3. While you’re waiting, put your yoghurt or culture into a mixing bowl. Slowly mix in the milk a bit at a time. Mix until it is smooth and creamy.
  4. Now add in your marmalade and mix. Or alternatively, add a spoonful into the bottom of your jars.
  5. Fill up your containers and place them into the yoghurt making machine. For whole milk yoghurt, the process will probably take around 7 hours.
  6. Once they’re finished, thoroughly chill before enjoying!
  7. To make your parfait, top your yoghurt with shaved dark chocolate and granola along with a drizzle of honey to taste.
