Shampoo bottles, makeup, toiletries – trying to squeeze all of your bathroom essentials into one room, especially if it’s a bit on the small side, can be a nightmare. Finding storage for your bathroom that has enough space and looks really good might seem difficult, but there are actually loads of different ways you can get creative with bathroom storage hacks!

You might never have considered that you didn’t have enough storage in your bathroom, but there are so many things you should keep in your bathroom to make the most of your time and effort – wandering between different rooms to retrieve different bathroom items can be a nuisance! Have you considered where you’ll keep these items:

Makeup

Skincare

Toilet roll

Towels

Flannels

Hand soap

Period products

Toothbrush and toothpaste

Hair products

Shaving kit

Small bathroom storage ideas

When your bathroom is a little on the… small side, you most likely won’t have ample amounts of cupboard space or room for lots of shelving. So where on earth can you keep all your towels, toiletries, and toilet roll?

You could use corner shelving units to make use of the corners of your bathroom without giving up wall space for a mirror – this is especially helpful if you have a very narrow bathroom, as wall shelving can sometimes create unnecessary roadblocks on your way to the loo. If you have wall space you can make use of above your sink, then this is an ideal place for a wall cabinet – you can keep all your toiletries tidied away and you have the double bonus of a mirror on the front too.

If you don’t have much room to navigate shelving, you could use a ladder towel rack – these space-saving helpers act as vertical towel rails you can hang both wet and dry towels from. They’re also easy to move around, meaning you don’t need to agonise over where to place it in your bathroom.

Creative bathroom storage ideas

Sometimes you have to get really creative with finding bathroom space savers, especially in spaces that are an unusual shape – if you have a strange nook or cranny that could really be better utilised as storage space, consider putting up your own custom shelving to make room for storing towels and other bathroom essentials.

Alternatively, you could use coat hooks drilled into the wall to act as towel and bathrobe hooks – this is great for small shower rooms and keeps you from having to put your clothes and towels on the wet floor.

Laundry hampers are another versatile piece that can make your space look a lot neater and make collecting your laundry really easy when it comes to wash day. You can even get laundry hampers that are wooden, which can double up as seats or extra shelf storage.

Our favourite bathroom space savers

You might only have a tiny amount of room beside your toilet for some extra storage – this is where a slimline storage unit comes in really handy. You can even get extra creative and get a slimline cabinet with a toilet roll holder attached! We make it a priority to find different ways to ensure you never run out of loo roll at the least opportune moment.

If you don’t have built-in storage underneath your sink, why not try using separate under bathroom sink storage – this looks like a small cupboard that can fit neatly underneath your bathroom sink, with cut-outs at the back so you can even slip it in front of a pedestal sink. It has shelving inside where you can stack loo roll, toiletries, and all your other bathroom products, then close the doors to keep everything neat and tidied away.
