Vonhaus Launches Dehumidifier Range in Manchester’s Trendy Northern Quarter

There’s a certain stillness you get in a gallery space. White walls, soft lighting, the quiet hum of conversation. So when we set up our newest dehumidifiers at esea contemporary in Manchester’s Northern Quarter, we knew it was never going to be your typical product launch.

And that was exactly the point.

This wasn’t about loud pitches or slick sales patter. It was about creating space – literally and figuratively – for people to discover what a dehumidifier actually does for their home.

Organised by our Social & PR Senior Executive Georgia, the event brought Vonhaus out of the studio and into one of Manchester’s most iconic gallery spaces – a place better known for exhibitions than air quality.

Guests were invited to examine five units from the new Vonhaus dehumidifier range, laid out clearly across the space – from compact moisture-busters to large-capacity smart units. Each was paired with a practical scenario: windows dripping with condensation, damp-smelling laundry, wardrobes with that telltale musty scent.

This wasn’t a look-don’t-touch display, either. Adele and Aneesa, two of our in-house product experts, were on hand to guide attendees through the differences – not just what each machine does, but who it’s really for.

Throughout the morning, a dehumidifier quietly dried tea towels draped on a rack. No buzzwords needed. Just clear, visible proof of what these household essentials can do.

From the layout to the atmosphere, every detail was designed to shift the usual sales dynamic.

It was informal, open, and helpful; a space where questions were welcome. And yes, there were hot drinks, buttery pastries and flapjacks. Not just for show – but because warmth and comfort, in all their forms, are what we’re ultimately trying to deliver.

This event wasn’t about putting products on pedestals. It was about showing what they actually fix – the mould creeping across your window frame, the clinging damp in your clothes, the heavy air that never seems to shift.

Hosting it in a gallery might have raised a few eyebrows, but that contrast worked. The space gave each model breathing room, turning attention away from the tech – although that's best-in-class too – and back to the everyday issues people face.
